Capabilities & Advantages
Resolution Legal’s services are targeted at growing companies that either have no in-house counsel or whose in-house team is at capacity or in transition. Resolution can provide both tactical and strategic support. In addition to providing general contracting support, Resolution can also play the role of in-house counsel on an as-needed basis. Resolution can oversee outside counsel on large transactional matters – helping company management return to running the company, as well as helping control outside counsel spend. The firm can also sit in on key company meetings and activities to provide advice when a legal perspective is important.
Resolution Legal is not meant to be a replacement for your existing outside counsel. But at a fraction of the hourly rate charged by most large law firm attorneys, Resolution can help companies with the important day-to-day matters that they are often unable (or unwilling because of cost) to have managed by an experienced attorney. Resolution can take on virtually any activity handled by typical general counsel, including general contracting (such as service agreements, licensing agreements, purchase agreements, distribution agreements, confidentiality agreements, consulting agreements, etc.); board and governance support; outside counsel oversight; and legal and compliance policy creation and training.

For companies that are not ready to hire in-house counsel, Resolution can provide in-house legal services on an as-needed, on-demand basis. These services can be provided on an hourly basis or at a flat rate, allowing clients to:
- Avoid the employment / benefit costs for permanent in-house counsel;
- Be proactive in addressing legal needs, rather than reacting when issues arise, which is often significantly more costly;
- Manage legal expenses with the flexibility to increase or decrease spend immediately when needed;
- Evaluate their most significant legal needs and tailor support based on those needs;
- Deepen the relationship with legal counsel, enabling counsel to better understand their business and its needs;
- Have timely access to an experienced attorney for time-sensitive matters and help manage crises;
- Focus on operations instead of legal and compliance issues; and
- Add another experienced executive who can provide advice on business (not just legal) matters.
